Programs

Research, education, and stewardship.

Three focus areas that work together. Each one strengthens the others.

Community Education

Earth Allies Youth Education Program

Hands-on water learning that helps young people fall in love with the water around them, then understand, measure, and care for it. We pair wonder and gratitude with real science, so curiosity grows into lifelong stewardship.

Wonder & Stewardship

Noticing, appreciating, and caring for local water as a shared gift.

Water Science

How water moves, what it carries, and how we measure it.

STEM Learning

Real data, real tools, and curious questions.

Mindful Nature Connection

Learning outdoors with all our senses, hands in the water.

Program Activity Highlight

Homeschool session at Developing Young Minds

We led a hands-on water science and stewardship session with about 10 homeschool students, exploring where local water comes from and simple ways to help keep it healthy.

Planned curriculum

  • Field water testing: pH, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity.
  • Local watershed mapping: tracing how water reaches nearby lakes and rivers.
  • Outdoor field learning: experiential sessions at local waterways.

These activities are planned and being developed.

Bring Earth Allies to your group

Schools, homeschool co-ops, youth groups, and educators — let's plan a session together.

Environmental Stewardship

Community Education & Outreach

Gatherings that celebrate our shared love for local ponds, lakes, and rivers, and give neighbors simple, practical ways to care for them. Everyone is welcome, whatever brings you to the water.

Public workshops

Free, plain-language sessions on local water health.

Intergenerational learning

Bringing youth, families, and seniors together around water.

Watershed awareness

Local activities that help neighbors see their watershed.

We are working with the Osceola County Public Library on current and planned community workshop outreach.

Water Restoration Research

Water Research & Restoration

WWA is technology-neutral. We evaluate multiple non-chemical remediation methods side by side, and we do not endorse or present any single commercial product as a cure-all.

Non-chemical ecological remediation

Studying nature-based approaches that avoid adding chemicals to waterways.

Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) research

Exploring ways to reduce the conditions that lead to harmful blooms.

Nutrient reduction

Understanding where excess nutrients come from and how to lower them.

Ongoing water-quality monitoring

Tracking conditions over time with consistent, repeatable methods.

Our intended research process

  1. 1

    Baseline Assessment

Document current water conditions before anything changes.

  2. 2

    Technology Evaluation

Review multiple non-chemical methods on published evidence.

  3. 3

    Pilot Planning

Design a small, measurable pilot with local partners.

  4. 4

    Permits & Regulatory Approvals

Secure every required regulatory, municipal, and owner approval.

  5. 5

    Field Monitoring

Collect consistent water-quality data over time.

  6. 6

    Transparent Public Reporting

Share methods and results openly, good or bad.

When we restore water, we restore life.
