Our commitment
The World Water Alliance is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
Conformance status
This site aims to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced by ADA Title III and Section 508.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with one H1 per page and logical heading order
- Keyboard navigation across all interactive elements with visible focus indicators
- Skip-to-content link for screen reader and keyboard users
- ARIA landmarks and current-page indicators in navigation
- Color contrast tested against WCAG AA thresholds
- Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images marked as such
- Forms with associated labels and accessible error messages
- Respect for the user’s
prefers-reduced-motionsetting - Touch targets sized for comfortable mobile use
- Responsive layout, scalable text, no information conveyed by color alone
Compatibility
Tested with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver screen readers.
Known limitations
Some embedded third-party content (videos, donation widgets) may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We are working with our providers to close these gaps.
