Donation Disclaimer & Transparency

We treat every gift with the care it deserves. This page explains exactly how donations are processed, acknowledged, and put to work.

Tax-deductible status

The World Water Alliance Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the United States Internal Revenue Code. EIN: [XX-XXXXXXX]. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your donation unless explicitly stated.

Receipts

An automated email receipt is sent immediately after your donation. A formal year-end acknowledgment is provided for cumulative gifts of $250 or more, in accordance with IRS Publication 1771.

Payment processing & security

All donations are processed by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). The World Water Alliance never sees, stores, or transmits your full card details. Transactions are encrypted in transit using TLS.

Use of funds

Donations support our restoration programs, scientific research, community education, and the operating costs that make this work possible. We aim to direct at least 80% of every dollar to programs. Annual financials and our IRS Form 990 are available on request and will be published in our annual impact report.

Recurring donations

You may cancel or modify a recurring donation at any time by contacting donate@worldwateralliance.org or via the link in your receipt.

Refund policy

We honor refund requests made within 30 days of a donation, less any non-recoverable processing fees. Email donate@worldwateralliance.org with the donation date and amount.

State fundraising disclosures

WWA registers as a charitable organization in states where required. Specific state disclosure language is available on request.
